First CIMIER Flagship Store open
The official unveiling of CIMIER’s first flagship store in Zurich was celebrated with a prestigious gala on October 30th, 2009. At 7 pm sharp, CIMIER CEO Martin Bärtsch cut the ribbon and treated the curious guests to a tour of the boutique.
Held completely in white, the puristic interior design is highlighted with accents in the dark green brand color, giving the rooms an agreeable ambience. The many amazing details of the timepieces on display are beautifully accentuated by individually arranged lighting.
The party later moved to the neighbouring Wings Bar, where invited guests enjoyed She DJ Ajele’s beats and lively discussions about the world and watches.
The opening of a CIMIER flagship boutique follows the plan of a strategic buildup of the CIMIER brand and the strengthening of its recognition. A big brand needs a strong figurehead, Martin Bärtsch explains.

Two limited editions of CIMIER are being released these days. Both models are limited to 200 pieces and are dedicated to the CIMIER ambassadors Tanja Frieden and Jörg Stiel, who both significantly influenced the design of their watches.
Petite Seconde Venom
CIMIER ambassador Jörg Stiel, former goalkeeper of the Swiss national football team and Borussia Mönchengladbach, one of the most traditional clubs of the German Bundesliga, was instrumentally involved in designing his own CIMIER model – the result is the „Petite Seconde Venom“.
„Venomous“ describes the look of this timepiece: Yellow hour, minute, and second hands move across a black dial in a black case. Yellow is also the color of the genuine python leather strap that Jörg Stiel chose for this limited special edition of 200 pieces.
This unusual timekeeper is powered by a blackened and decorated Unitas 6497 hand winding movement. No watch for «Average Joe»!
Seven Seas Arctica
The dark sea, clear blue skies, glittering white snow, and in between, grey fragments of rock to guide the eye. The beauty of a pristine arctic landscape is beautifully reflected in CIMIER’s new ladies’ model Seven Seas Arctica.
The sportive chronograph is dedicated to Tanja Frieden and will be released in a limited edition of 200 pieces. Co-designed by Tanja, the Seven Seas Arctica is manufactured in the CIMIER ateliers in Zug and carries her signature on the case back.
The arctic topic is harmoniously integrated into the design of this model and reflected as ice crystals on dial, hands, and on the silk strap. The blue mother of pearl inlay on the dial symbolizes the attraction of the ever fascinating and mystic sea.
Twelve sparkling black zircons adorn the bezel and give the Arctica the final polish and that certain something.
CIMIER is sponsoring the SPA Triathlon, which takes place in several different locations in Japan. The pictures show the SPA Triathlons of June 21st in Hokkai-do and April 12th in Kumamoto.

The first „CIMIER Golf Time“ took place on June 13th under best weather conditions on the Ybrig golf course in Switzerland.
The golf course, where precision and high-class materials meet, is the ideal setting to convey CIMIER’s brand vision. This is why we are organizing a small series of tournaments this year – clients, friends and interested parties are welcome to spend a delightful day with us.
Of course, CIMIER brand ambassadors will be present at these events. On June 13th, Tanja Frieden made her debut beside Walter Tresch, played an excellent game and delivered a terrific premiere.
On the occasion of the 2nd Ladies Golf Night at the indoor facility in Horn on the shores of Lake Constance CIMIER was able to present two proud winners with a unique timepiece. The prizes were awarded for hitting closest to the mark in the „Nearest to the Pin“ contest.
CIMIERs newest models were introduced on the occasion of a fashion show featuring the current Mr. Switzerland.
Tanja Frieden, Jörg Stiel, Karli Odermatt, Heini Hemmi, and Walter Tresch – the CIMIER Sports Legends Team meets at the Sports Legends Cocktail on the occasion of Baselworld 2009.
CIMIER emphasizes its slogan „Fascinating Times“ with brand ambassadors who have become legends in their own time – known for their achievements and truly fascinating moments in sports history.
Interesting discussions about diverse sports as well as CIMIER’s special models dedicated to and co-developed by Tanja Frieden and Jörg Stiel unfolded in the course of the evening.
Tanja Frieden’s sportive chronograph is adorned with 12 black zircons and snow crystals representing her discipline on band and dial.
Jörg Stiel’s choice is a hand-wound model, completely in black and crowned with yellow hands and a yellow python leather band. Both series are limited to 200 pieces.
Karli Odermatt, one of Switzerland’s football icons par excellence, is entering a partnership with CIMIER.
Playing for FC Basel, Karli Odermatt was a five-time Swiss champion in series in the 60s and 70s – and alongside Köbi Kuhn a big star of the Swiss football stadiums. As brand ambassador of the Swiss watch brand CIMIER one might say that he has now joined another classic with origins in Basel; CIMIER watches were produced in Bubendorf in the canton Baselland from 1925 onward, before the company moved to Zug.
On the occasion of this year’s Baselworld, which closed its gates on April 2nd, CIMIER presented the companies newest models from the atelier in Zug.
Not only the novelties captured the audience’s attention - the new and enhanced CIMIER stand was equally praised.
We will shortly show our spring 2009 novelties here. So much in advance: Beside exceptional hand-wound models and a quartz chronograph, two limited editions are the highlight of the collection.
